Access Device Type Management
The access device type function is used to identify devices from different vendors. Based on the access device types configured, you can configure different RADIUS attributes for devices from different vendors, so that the access devices can well cooperate with UAM. The system pre-defines the following access device types: HP A series, HP others, Intelbras, 3Com, Huawei, Cisco, Ruijie, Microsoft and Juniper. When adding or modifying an access device, you can select a pre-defined or user-defined access device type in the device type drop-down list.
Perform the following operations to configure the access device types on the INC:
-
Add/Modify an Access Device Type
- Click Add, or click the
icon corresponding to an access device type.
- Input the basic information of the access device type.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Vendor Name: Name of the device vendor.
- Short Name: Short name of the device vendor.
- Device Type: Device type, which is General usually.
- Vendor ID: ID of the device vendor.
- Description: Description of the access device type.
Note
- You cannot modify the basic information of a pre-defined access device type.

Precautions
- The options in the Access Device Type dropdown list for access device configuration are displayed in the same order as that of the Access Device Type List. You can adjust the order by operating the Priority column of the Access Device Type List.
