Endpoint IP Group
An endpoint IP group specifies the range of IP addresses that users used to access the network. This function is a preposed function of BYOD. With this function, access users using different IP addresses to access the network can use different access policies. Only one IP segment can be configured for an endpoint IP group.
Functions
Select the User tab, click the User Access Policy link, click the Access Condition link, and then click the Endpoint IP Group link to enter the endpoint IP group list page. The page provides the following two functions:
- Add/Modify Endpoint IP Group
This function helps you add or modify an endpoint IP group.
Operation Procedure
- Click Add to add an endpoint IP group. Click the
icon for the target endpoint IP group to modify it. Configure the name, start IP, and end IP, and select a service group for the endpoint IP group.
- Click OK.
- Delete Endpoint IP Group
This function is used to delete an endpoint IP group.
Operation Procedure
- Click the
icon for the target endpoint IP group.
- Click OK in the dialog box that appears.
Parameters
- Endpoint IP Group Name: Name of the endpoint IP group.
- IP Type: Specifies the type of endpoint IP addresses. Options include IPv4 and IPv6.
- Start IP: Start IP address of the endpoint IP group.
- End IP: End IP address of the endpoint IP group.
- Service Group: Select a service group for the endpoint IP group. The service group ensures privilege management of the endpoint IP group. The administrators and maintainers can add the endpoint IP group to one of the service groups to which they have the management privilege.
Precautions
- You cannot delete an endpoint IP group that has been referenced by a service.
- An IP address can be added to only one endpoint IP group.
- An IP address group is displayed in the IP group list as long as it includes any of the IP addresses in your specified IP address range.
- The address-related query criteria must be IP addresses. You can input valid IPv4 or IPv6 addresses.
