Modify MAC Filter
The access MAC address list can be a permitted access MAC address list or a denied access MAC address list, corresponding to the MAC filter of permitted and denied respectively. Modifying the MAC filter can modify the type of the access MAC address list.
Operation Procedure
- Select the User tab, and then select User Access Policy > Access Policy > Access MAC Address from the navigation tree to enter the access MAC address management page.
- Click the Set MAC Filter link to enter the MAC filter modification page.
- Select the MAC filter.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- MAC Filter: MAC filter of the MAC addresses, which can be Permitted or Denied. If you specify the MAC filter as Permitted, you can configure only a permitted access MAC address list; if you specify the MAC filter as Denied, you can configure only a denied access MAC address list.
Precautions
- You can modify the MAC filter of an access MAC address list only when there is no MAC address in the list.
- Permit: Only hosts with a listed MAC address can access the network.When this MAC address list is empty, all users can access the network regardless of whether the access control action is permit or deny.
- Deny: All hosts can access the network except for those with a MAC address on the list.
