Certificate Private Key Protection

The certificate private key protection is the second step in the server certificate configuration procedure.

Perform this task to configure the password for protecting the server private key file.

Operation Procedure

  1. Enter the certificate private key protection page, and then type the password used for protecting the server private key file (leave this field empty if no password is configured).
  2. Click OK.

Parameters

  • Password of Server Private Key: A password is required when you export the server certificate and server certificate key separately. It is used to protect the private key file. To import the server certificate key file successfully, you also need to enter this password. This password is the one for protecting the server certificate key.
