For an account that holds a service regularly charged for a fixed fee (such as a monthly charged service), the system provides the accounting suspension feature to protect user interests. A suspended account can not use any service, and CAMS doesn not charge the user either. In CAMS, this feature is implemented by modifying the service billing term. Suppose that a user is using a service with a billing term from the 10th day of a month to the 10th day of the next. If the user is away for a business trip from January 20th to February 2nd and can not use the service, the user can apply for suspension on January 19th, and resume the service after coming back, February 5th for example. CAMS will automatically postpone the end time of the billing term of the service to February 26th.
The suspension operation does not affect the billing time of users that are not charged periodically, but only temporarily suspends services for the users.
A suspended account can be resumed through the console and self service interface. If Resume Automatically in Billing Attributes of Charging Parameters is set to Enabled, suspension will be cancelled automatically after the user passes login authentication again.
