Add/Modify Windows Patch Control

This function helps you add or modify a patch control.

Operation Procedure

1. Enter the Windows Patches page.
   Select the User tab, and then in the navigation tree click User Security Policy/Patch Control/Windows Patches.
2. Click Add or corresponding to the patch control.
3. Type the basic information, and select the check boxes in front of the applicable Windows of the patch.
4. Click OK.

Parameters

• Patch Name: the unique identification of the Windows. It is usually specified when the patch is released. You only need to type the name provided by the vendor.
• Message: when it is found that the host is not installed with the patch, the prompt information is the description of the patch.
• Patch Level: the critical level of the patch.Specify the patch security mode according to the patch level.

Precautions

• The patch name is not editable.
• To add a patch control, there must be at least one windows version.
• When adding or modifying the patch control, you need to select at least one kind of Windows.
• For consistency of data in the policy server cache and the database, a patch update packet is sent to the policy server after patch modification.In case the packet sending fails, you are prompted in the modification success page. However your modification is still saved to the database.
