This section introduces in detail the eleven functions of the iCC and their respective operations.
The Configuration Templates stores the configuration templates to be deployed to the
devices. The fundamental elements of it are device configuration resources.
You can
add configuration resources to it in any of the following ways:
In addition, you are provided with maintenance functions such as query, deletion, modification, and export.
The Software Library stores the software files to be deployed to the devices. The fundamental
elements of the library are software resources.
You can add software resources to the
Software Library in any of the following ways:
In addition, you are provided with maintenance functions such as query, deletion, modification, and export.
The Deployment Guide provides easy deployment of device configuration template and software in an intuitive manner. It helps improve your work efficiency.
The configuration template deployment and device software deployment are implemented by tasks. The task deployment function provides easy task deployment in an intuitive manner. You are allowed to schedule and adjust tasks, to create tasks by copying the existing ones, or to modify the existing tasks. The iCC provides the following task management functions: executing, suspending, resuming, copying, modifying and deleting.
The configuration center provides functions like quick configuration and software query, configuration backup, and configuration and software update history. You can restore a device configuration or the device software at any time for flexible management.
This function shows the basic software information, configuration backup history, and software deployment history of a single device.
The auto deployment function provides automatic executions of software upgrade, startup configuration deployment, CLI script execution, and configuration backup for devices with zero or simple configurations. This function quickly configures devices in batch to operate properly without manual intervention.
With the configuration backup function, you can backup the devices' configurations and audit the backup results.
The configuration audit function allows you to view the results of device configuration backup changes and software version changes, and provides links through which you can restore the baseline configuration and software version.
The compliance check function associates compliance check rules (compliance policies) with the specified devices to form a check task. By executing the check task and viewing the task execution result report, you can check and monitor the device configurations.
This function helps you set the transfer protocol for the files. The supported transfer protocols are FTP, TFTP and SFTP. You can select the default transfer mode or the single device transfer mode as needed.
