Modify Asset OID Entry

Operation Procedure

1. Click the Resource tab, and in the navigation tree of Network Assets, select Asset OID.
   The asset OID list appears.
2. Click the Modify icon for an entry to enter the page for modifying the asset OID entry.
3. Modify the name, physical property, or description.
4. Click OK.

Parameters

• Physical Asset: Specify the physical property of the asset entity corresponding to the OID as physical asset or non physical asset, .

Precautions

• The OID of an asset OID entry cannot be modified directly. You must first remove the asset OID entry, and then add a new one.
• The predefined asset OID entries cannot be modified.
• For a user-defined asset OID entry, the changing of physical property (from physical asset to non physical asset or from non physical asset to physical asset) is not updated to the asset entity corresponding to the OID immediately. An update can be triggered either at the automatic update interval (select Options from the Network Assets navigation tree to set the automatic update interval), or during manual synchronization of the asset entity. For the asset entity whose physical property is specified, modifying the physical property of the asset OID entry does not trigger an update of the asset entity, because the physical property of the asset entity takes precedence over that of the asset OID entry.
