Network Asset Management Overview
System Introduction
As an important service component of the system, Network Asset Manager can manage and maintain all assets in a managed network, helping asset-intensive enterprises control assets information and reduce maintenance cost. It also improves the efficiency of network management.
Functions
Network asset management provides the following features:
- Network Assets: Displays various assets managed by the Network Asset Manager. When a device is added to the Network Asset Manager, the system automatically gets the device's asset information, and then manages the device.
- Asset Audit: Displays the change history of network assets. Asset auditing can be performed periodically or triggered at any time manually, which provides you with the detailed information about asset changes.
- Asset OID: Allows you to manage the OID information of network assets. Each OID represents an asset entity model of a vendor.
- Transceivers: Displays information about transceivers on the managed devices, including the device label, interface name, transceiver type, whether the transceiver is a suspected counterfeit, SN, vendor name, vendor name of the card where the transceiver resides, manufacturing date of the card where the transceiver resides, maximum transmission distance, current transmit power, maximum transmit power, minimum transmit power, current receive power, maximum receive power, and minimum receive power. The current transmit power, maximum transmit power, minimum transmit power, current receive power, maximum receive power, and minimum receive power are measured in dBm.
- Options: Allows you to perform global settings for network asset management.
