Trap Details
The trap details present the following information:
- Trap name
- OID
- Trap time
- Trap source
- Trap category
- Description
- Trap cause
- Remediation suggestion
- Trap parameter
The trap cause and remediation suggestion provide possible causes for the alarms of the same type and the remediation suggestions, which helps you with troubleshooting.
Operation Procedure
- Click the Alarm tab, and then select Browse Trap in the navigation tree. The Browse Trap page appears.
- Click a trap description link in the trap list to enter the Trap Details page.
- You can perform the following operations on the Trap Details page:
- Click More Events to view all the events from the same trap source.
- Click the Filter the Trap to enter the Add Filtering Rule page. The system automatically sets the filtering criteria according to the current trap type and source.
- Click Modify Severity to enter the page for modifying trap level.
- Click Escalate to Alarms to enter the Add Trap to Alarm page. The system automatically sets the escalation criteria according to the current trap type and source.
- Click Previous to enter the details page of a trap which matches the current query criteria and is generated earlier than the current alarm.
- Click Next to enter the details page of a trap which matches the current query criteria and is generated later than the current alarm.
Parameters
- Trap Source: The device name and device IP displayed in grey indicate that the trap is generated by The System server or an unmanaged device.
Precautions

Only administrators have permission to filter the trap and escalate the trap to an alarm.
- The Filter the Trap and Escalate to Alarms actions are applicable to only traps with trap definitions.
- The System cannot change the trap content generated by unmanaged devices.
