Add Filtering Rule

This function enables you to add a custom filtering rule.

Operation Procedure

1. Click the Alarm tab, and then select Filtering Trap in the navigation tree. The Filtering Trap page appears.
2. Click Add. The Add Filtering Rule page appears.
3. In the Add Filtering Rule page, do the following configurations:
   • Type the filtering rule name.
   • Select a filter mode:
   • By Common Trap Group:
     • Select UP/DOWN Trap Group:
       1. Click Select Interface, and then select the interfaces to be filtered.
       2. To remove an interface from the interface list, select it and click Delete Interface.
     • Select The System Trap Group.
   • By Trap:
     1. Click Select Trap, and then select traps.
     2. Click Select Resources, and then select resources. Options include All Resources, Selected Devices, and Application Group.
        • To remove a device from the device list, select it and click Delete Device.
        • Click Select View, and then select a custom view from the window that appears.
     3. Click Parameter Settings, and then set alarm parameters.
   • Select a validity period configuration mode:
   • Weekly: Select Available Range.
   • By Time Range: Set the start date and end date.
• Set the start time and end time.
4. Click OK.

Precautions

• If you select UP/DOWN Trap Group without selecting any interface, traps of all interfaces are filtered.
• If you select By Trap without selecting any device, this type of traps in all devices are filtered.
• Application groups are supported only if the APM component is installed.

Parameters

• UP/DOWN Trap Group: Includes device UP/DOWN traps, and interface UP/DOWN traps learned by The System in device poll.
• The System Trap Group: Includes The System Sysmonitor traps and MPLS VPN Monitor trap.
