- Click the Modify icon
for the intermittent trap analyze to display the Intermittent Trap Analyze Configuration page.
- You can perform the following operations on the Intermittent Trap Analyze Configuration page:
- Click Select Trap, and then select intermittent traps in the displayed dialog box.
- In the Length of Interval Time field, input the intermittent interval.
- Select whether to escalate traps to alarms. If it is enabled, configure a threshold.
- Select the Filter Intermittent Trap (Intermittent Traps will be discarded) option
- Type the length of time window.
- Type the length of trap queue.
- Select whether to use sliding time window.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Length of interval Time: Reference time used for determining whether a trap is a flash trap. If the time for an entrusted entity to recover from an abnormal state is no longer than the flash time, the trap is a flash trap.
- Length of Time Window: Specifies a period during which the same traps received are considered to be duplicate traps, and only one of the traps is saved.
- Length of Trap Queue: The maximum number of initial traps kept in the trap queue. traps in the queue are used to match the subsequent traps to identify the intermittent traps. A larger length value helps filter more intermittent traps but consumes more resources, and vice versa.
- Use Sliding Time Window: If you select this option, sliding time window is used. Otherwise, fixed time window is used.
Precautions
- An intermittent trap means that a managed device is in the abnormal state and then resumes normal in a short time.
- You can configure other parameters only after selecting the Escalate to Alarms.
