Unknown Trap Filter Configuration

This function enables the system to filter received unknown traps. When the configured threshold is reached, the system generates an alarm.

Operation Procedure

1. Click the Alarm tab, and then select Filtering Trap in the navigation tree. The Filtering Trap page appears.
2. Click the Modify icon for the unknown trap filter. The Unknown Trap Filter Configuration page appears.
3. You can perform the following operations on the Unknown Trap Filter Configuration page:
   • Select whether to escalate traps to alarms. If it is enabled, specify a threshold.
   • Select whether to filter unknown traps.
4. Click OK.

Precautions

• An unknown trap refers to a trap not defined in the system.
• You can specify a threshold only after selecting the Escalate to Alarms.
