Test Custom Index

This function allows you to verify the validity of a custom index to be added.

Operation Procedure

  1. Click the Resource tab and select Performance Management > Global Index Settings to enter the global index list page.
  2. Click Add to enter the Add Custom Index page.
  3. Type the index name, measurement, index type, instance label (definition OID), and formula.
  4. Click Test to enter the Test Custom Index page.
  5. Enter a device IP, or click Select Device and then select a device from the device list for testing.
  6. Click Resolve Instance to analyze the device's instances that can be monitored with the custom index to be added.
  7. Select an instance for monitoring from the instance list and click Start Collecting to start collecting performance monitoring data.
  8. Click Stop Collecting to stop collecting performance monitoring data.
  9. Click Back to return to the Add Custom Index page.
