Default Monitoring Indexes
After adding a device in system using the automatic discovery function, the system automatically monitors some indexes of the device. You can configure these default monitoring indexes.
Operation Procedure
- Select the Resource tab. From the navigation tree, select Performance Management > Performance Options.
- Select the Default Monitoring Indexes tab.
- Select the indexes you want the system to monitor by default.
- Click Save to save the current configuration as the default monitoring indexes. The saved default monitoring indexes do not affect the existing devices, and apply to only the new devices. When a new device is added to the system, the system uses indexes that the new device supports among the default monitoring indexes to monitor the device.
- Click Add Indexes to save the current configuration as the default monitoring indexes, and add indexes to the existing devices in system. One of the following outcomes appear:
- If a device supports some indexes of the default monitoring indexes, the monitoring setting window that appears prompts that the configuration is partially successful.
- If a device does not support any of the default monitoring indexes, the window prompts that the configuration fails.
- If the device supports all indexes, the window prompts that the configuration is successful.
- Click Cancel Indexes to remove the selected indexes from the default monitoring indexes and save the configuration. At the same time, these indexes are also removed from all devices in system.
Precautions
- When multiple indexes are selected or multiple devices exist in System, clicking Add Indexes will cause the browser to crash. However, the crash does not affect the process of adding indexes.
