Dynamic Threshold Index
This function calculates the optimal threshold of a performance index by learning the history data of the index.
Based on the data change type, you can enable the rising alarms and falling alarms.
You can set the rising/falling base value and rising/falling threshold conditions for the rising/falling alarms.
When both conditions for a type of alarms are met, alarms are sent.
Procedure
- Select the Resource tab. From the navigation tree, select Performance Management > Performance Options.
- Select the Dynamic Threshold Index tab. Click Enable Dynamic Threshold Index.
- Click Add. Select one or multiple dynamic threshold indexes.
- Click Save Settings to save the dynamic threshold indexes set currently.
- Click the Modify icon for an index to configure the index.
Parameters
- Rising: When the actual value is greater than the threshold and the alarm conditions are met, the rising alarms are sent.
- Falling: When the actual value is smaller than the threshold and the alarm conditions are met, the falling alarms are sent.
- Base Value: The judgement starts only when the actual value or threshold is greater than the base value. For example, suppose the base value is 30 and the rising threshold is 20%. When the threshold is 10 and the actual value is 15,
no alarms are sent because the actual value is smaller than the base value.
- Rising/Falling Threshold: When the actual value is greater than the threshold*(1 + rising threshold) or is smaller than the threshold*(1 - falling threshold), alarms are sent.
For example, suppose the threshold is 50 and the base value is 40.
If the rising threshold is 20%, rising alarms are sent only when the actual value is greater than 50+50*0.2=60.
Remarks
- Select a maximum of 16 dynamic threshold indexes. Otherwise, you cannot save the dynamic threshold index settings.
- If the dynamic threshold index is opened for 5 weeks, it will judge whether the threshold alarm is generated according to the actual situation.
- Dynamic Threshold line can only be showed in hour level granularity,The display logic of data granularity is indicated in Performance Data Policy
