Add Configuration Plan

Perform this task to execute multiple operations on multiple devices or interfaces simultaneously. Follow these steps to complete this task:

• Select Operations and Resources
• Configure Parameters
• Set Task Attributes

 There are five approaches to add a device/interface configuration plan:

• Approach I: Click the Device Configuration Guide or Interface Configuration Guide link in batch operation.
  1. Click the Resource tab, and select Resource Management > Batch Operation from the navigation tree.
  2. Click the Device Configuration Guide link of Device Configuration Guide[Edit Plan] or the Interface Configuration Guide link of Interface Configuration Guide[Edit Plan]. The page for selecting operations and device resources appears.
• Approach II: Click the Interface Configuration Guide link in Device View.
  1. Click the Resource tab, and select View Management > Device View from the navigation tree to enter the Device List page.
  2. Select devices to be added to the configuration plan, click the More button, and select Device Configuration Guide. The page for selecting operations and device resource appears.
• Approach III: Click the icon in Interface View.
  1. Click the Resource tab, and select View Management > Interface View from the navigation tree to enter the Interface List page.
  2. Select interfaces to be added to the configuration plan, click the Interface Configuration Guide link of interface configuration guide. The page for selecting operations and interface resources appears.
• Approach IV: Select Interface Configuration Guide in Interface List.
  1. Click the Resource tab, and select View Management > Device View from the navigation tree, and enter the Device List page.
  2. Click the Interface List link of a device to enter the interface list page of the device.
  3. Select devices to be added to the configuration plan, click the More button, and select Interface Configuration Guide. The page for selecting operations and interface resource appears.
• Approach V:
  1. Click the Resource tab, and select View Management > Network Topology from the navigation tree. The Topology page appears.
  2. Select Custom Topology and double-click a topology on the page.
  3. Select and right-click a device, and select Device Configuration Guide from the menu. The page for selecting operations and device resources appears.

Precautions

• If you first configure the operation list, the system automatically filters the available devices for the device list. Devices are filtered out if they do not support the selected operations. The same situation applies to the operation list if you configure the device list first. Operations are filtered out if they are not supported by the selected devices. The filter is based on device vendors but not on device models.
