Install Cloud Platform

This function enables the installation controller to deploy the control node and compute node of the cloud back-end service. If the server boots from a network, the control node and compute node install the operating system and OpenStack service based on relevant configuration.

Operation Procedure

1. Click the System tab.
2. Select System Configuration > Install Cloud Back-End Service from the navigation tree.
3. Select the Enable Intelligent Installation box.
4. On the Configure Installation Controller window that appears, enter the IP address of the controller and the password of the root user.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Configure next to Control Node.
7. On the Configure Control Node window that appears, enter control node information.
8. Click OK.
9. Click Add under Compute Node.
10. On the Configure Compute Node window that appears, enter compute node information.
11. Click OK.

Parameters

• Password: The password that you specify when configuring the control node refers to the operating system password for the control node and compute node, the password for the database root user, and the OpenStack management password.
• Integrate with Compute Node: Specifies whether or not to install compute node services on the control node. If yes, the server acts as both a control node and a compute node.

Precautions

• The host name must only contain letters and digits and must start with a letter.
• The password cannot contain backslashes (\), dollar signs ($), or quotation marks (','').
• After the installation and configuration is complete, the status of the control node and compute node changes to Installed.
