Operation Log
The operation logs show basic information about operations such as logging in to the system and adding/deleting/configuring devices. Log management allows you to query logs and view log details. You can query logs by operator, IP address, module name, operation result, start time, end time, and operation description. The administrator can delete operation logs or export them for backup.

Precautions
- The operator $SYSTEM's operations are system operations.
- An administrator can view all operation logs, whereas a maintainer can view his or her own operation logs only.
- Querying the log by operators, IP addresses, and operation descriptions are fuzzy queries.
- The system does not generate operation logs for the following operations:
- Queries and display operations .
- Managing My Favorites.
- Failing to pass the validity check of an input value.
- Attempting to operate a non-existent object.
- Due to the storage restriction, the system displays only the first 500 characters of the operation description in an operation log details entry, and uses an ellipsis (...) to represent the exceeding characters.
- The IP address column might display some special values following these rules:
- If the server supports IPv6, IP address 0.0.0.0.0.0.0.1 will be displayed as ::1.
- If the server supports only IPv4, the local host address will be displayed as 127.0.0.1.
- The two display modes above are equivalent to localhost.
- To search for interface up/down logs, enter Up/Down Alarm Filter in the Operation field in the Query dialog box. To search for interfaces with the specified Interface Up/Down Alarm Filter setting, go to the Advanced Query page of the system. Then, select Query Interfaces, select the desired setting from the Interface Up/Down Alarm Filter list, and click Query.
- A log message prompting that you have logged in to the lower-level NMS successfully in an upper-level NMS only indicates that the lower-level NMS login page is opened. To identify whether you have logged in to the lower-level NMS successfully, view operation logs in the lower-level NMS.
- After you import a file to the page and then click OK, the system might not display error messages upon validation failures of other parameters.
