Add/Modify Operator

This function helps you add or modify an operator.

Operation Procedure

1. Click the System tab, and then click Operator to enter the Operator Management page.
2. Click Add to enter the Add Operator page. You can also click the icon of the operator you want to modify to enter the Modify Operator page.
3. Type the operator information.
4. Click OK.

Precautions

• You cannot modify the operator's login name when modifying the operator information.
• If you select Manage All Groups for an operator, the operator has the access right for all subsequently added groups. If you select Manage All Custom Views for an operator, the operator has the access right for all subsequently added custom views.
• The operator password cannot exceed 32 characters. In RADIUS, LDAP, or TACACS authentication, the user password on the authentication server cannot exceed 32 characters, neither.
• When you add or modify an operator, you can select the accessible views for the operator. However, if the operator group to which the operator belongs does not have the access to the selected views, the operator still cannot access the selected views.
• The default login view refers to the view in which the operator will be placed at the next login. It is the view that the operator was accessing at the previous logout.
