Download SSH (Plink) File

Secure Shell (SSH) is a secure remote login protocol developed based on Telnet. SSH supports password authentication and RSA/DSA key authentication. SSH transfers data encrypted to secure data transfer.

The downloaded SSH (Plink) file is a .zip file that contains an executable file, a registry file, and a readme file. Follow the instructions in the readme file to copy the executable file to the specified directory and import the registry file. Then, you can use SSH (Plink) to remotely log in to a device.

Procedure

1. Click the Resource tab. From the navigation tree, select View Management > Device View to enter the list of devices in the view.
2. On the device list, click the Device Label link for a device to enter the details page for the device.
3. Click Download SSH (Plink) File in the right action pane to download the SSH (Plink) file to your local client.
4. Decompress the downloaded file, and follow the instructions in the readme.txt file to install SSH (Plink).

Restrictions and guidelines

• The Download SSH (Plink) File link is not displayed for a device that does not support SSH.
