Add Lower-Level NMS

This function helps you add a lower-level NMS.

Operation Procedure

1. Click the Resource tab, and then in the navigation tree click View Management > Lower-Level NMS View to enter the Lower-Level NMS View page.
2. Click Add to enter the Add Lower-Level NMS page.
3. Select a device that you want to add as a lower-level NMS.
4. Type the login port, login name and login password, and confirm the password.
5. Click OK.

Precautions

• You need to select a lower-level NMS from the PCs and servers that are not currently acting as lower-level NMSs of the current server.
• If you select Specified Operator for the Login Operator field, configure the login name and password. The login name and password must exist in the lower-level NMS. If you select Current Operator for the Login Operator field, the current operator must have the same login name and password with an operator account in the lower-level NMS. After a lower-level NMS is added, you can manage the lower-level NMS in the current NMS through the specified operator account.
• Make sure a lower-level NMS server is added to only one upper-level NMS. Otherwise, the upper-level NMS might fail to properly display devices in the lower-level NMS.
