RMON Event Group Management

RMON event group supports defining events. The defined events are mainly used for defining RMON alarm items and RMON extension alarm items. When defining RMON alarm items and RMON extension alarm items, you need to type the threshold range and events that should be generated. With RMON event group management, you can add or delete RMON event items, and view invalid RMON event groups and RMON logs.

Operation Procedure

  1. Select the Resource tab.
  2. Select the device to be managed from the device list to enter the detailed information page.
  3. Click the RMON link in the Device Management list to open the RMON management page.
  4. Click RMON Event Group tab to enter into RMON Event Group Management page.

Event Type

Four event types are available: None, indicating the alarm event is invalid; Log, indicating the event will be recorded in the RMON log; SNMP Trap, indicating an SNMP trap message will be generated after the event; Both, indicating the event will be recorded in the RMON log and an SNMP trap message will be generated.

Event Community

Defines the community name for sending the SNMP trap message when the event occurs. This parameter is valid only when SNMP Trap is specified in the event type.

Status

Two statuses are available, namely, Active and Inactive.
