Port Properties

This function allows you to view and configure basic port information, including interface description, interface alias, interface type, interface rate, operation status, management status and last management status update time, physical address, configured rate, configured duplex mode, actual duplex mode, flow control status, broadcast storm suppression, default user priority, VLAN type, MDI type, the aggregation group, fiber port transmission distance, wavelength, port type, hardware type, maximum receive power, minimum receive power, maximum transmit power and minimum transmit power. Only Comware devices support all parameters in this configuration procedure. For other devices, the supported parameters vary with the device model.For more information about the configuration parameters available on the Port Properties page, see your switch vendor's documentation.

Operation Procedure

1. Select the Resource tab.
2. Select the device to be managed from the device list to enter the Device Details page.
3. Click the Interface List link to enter the Interface List page.
4. Click the interface description link of an interface to enter the Interface Details page.
5. Click the Port Properties link to enter the port information page.
6. After modifying the port information, click OK to finish the configuration.

Parameter Description

• Port Alias: A string of up to 64 characters.
• Administrative Status: Up or Down.
• Configured Rate: auto/S10M/S100M/S1000M/10G/24G,enabled/disabled;devices of different types may support different value.
• Configured Duplex Mode: Full duplex/half duplex/auto,dot3MauType10BaseTHD/dot3MauType10BaseTFD/dot3MauType100BaseTXHD/dot3MauType100BaseTXFD;devices of different types may support different value.
• Flow Control Status: True/False,disabled/enabledXmit/enabledRcv/enabledXmitAndRcv;devices of different types may support different value.
• Broadcast Suppression: Supports broadcast storm suppression in the unit of percentage or PPS.
• Link Type: Trunk/Access/Hybrid/Fabric.
• Port Priority: 0 - 7.
• MDI Mode: Normal/Across/Auto.
• Broadcast Control Type: notApplicable/disable/limitUnknownDAs/limitMcasts/limitMcastsAndUnknownDAs/limitBcasts/limitBcastsAndUnknownDAs/limitBcastsAndMcasts/limitBcastsMcastsAndUnknownDAs.
• Negotiated Rate: The real rate value of a port.
• Port Stack Status: None IRF Port/IRF Port1/IRF Port2.
• Fiber Port Transmission Distance: Transmission distance of the fiber port, in meters.
• Wavelength: Wavelength of the fiber port, in nanometers.
• Type: Port type.
• Hardware Type: Hardware type of the fiber port.
• Maximum Receive Power: Maximum receive power of the fiber port, in dBm.
• Minimum Receive Power: Minimum receive power of the fiber port, in dBm.
• Maximum Transmit Power: Maximum transmit power threshold of the fiber port, in dBm.
• Minimum Transmit Power: Minimum transmit power of the fiber port, in dBm.
