POS Application Management

A POS application defines a service of the front-end process (FEP), and transmits data between the router and the FEP.

To display, add, delete, and modify POS applications, follow the procedure.

Operation Procedure

    Display POS Applications

  1. Select the Resource tab.
  2. Click the target device from the device list.
  3. From the right navigation tree select POS Applications under POS Access.
  4. Select the POS Applications tab.
  5. Add a POS Application

  6. On the POS application list page, click Add.
  7. Configure the parameters and click OK. For more information about the parameters, see the section Parameters.
  8. Modify a POS Application

  9. Click the modify icon of a POS application.
  10. Modify the settings and click OK.
  11. Delete a POS Application

  12. Select the POS application that you want to delete, click Delete. After you delete a POS application for which a POS multi-application mapping entry is configured, the mapping entry is also deleted.

Parameters

Item Description
POS Application ID Uniquely identifies a POS application.
POS Application Name Name of the POS application. You can type the description for the application for ease of identification. Make sure the POS application names are unique.
Send Calling Number Whether to send the calling number to the router.
Connection Mode Values can be Normal and Temporary. A temporary connection is up for a service. After the service is done, the connection is removed. A normal connection is always up unless you remove it.
TPDU Header Processing Processing of the IP address of the received packet's TPDU header. Values can be Change Src Address or Change Dest Address.
Front End Processor IP IP address of the FEP.
Front End Processor Port Listening port of the FEP.
Router IP IP address of the interface that the router uses to connect the FEP.
TCP Keepalive Interval Interval for sending keepalive packets of a POS application, in seconds.
TCP Keepalive Count Maximum number of times that keepalive packets are sent out.
Linking Time Maximum time for the router to wait for the answer from the FEP.
POS APP Connection Connection state of the POS terminal.
Invalid: No IP address or port is configured.
Down: The connection is terminated for the POS application in flow access mode.
UP: The connection is established for the POS application in flow access mode.
Unlinked: The connection is not established yet for the POS application in TCP access mode.
Linking: The connection is being established for the POS application in TCP access mode.
Linked: The connection is established for the POS application in TCP access mode.
Multilink: Multiple TCP connections are established for the POS application in TCP access mode.
