General POS Terminal Management

A general POS terminal connects to a front end processor in flow or dial-up access mode.

To display, add, delete, and modify a general POS terminal, follow the procedures.

Operation Procedure

    Display General POS Terminals

  1. Select the Resource tab.
  2. Click the target device from the device list.
  3. From the right navigation tree select POS Applications under POS Access.
  4. Add a General POS Terminal

  5. On the General POS Terminals tab, click Add.
  6. Select an interface that is to be connected to the POS terminal. When you select a FCM interface that is for transmitting signals, bulk generation is allowed. Type the start ID and click OK. Up to 30 general POS terminals are generated in bulk. When you select a physical FCM interface, type an ID, a name for the POS terminal, select an application ID, and click OK.
  7. Modify a General POS Terminal

  8. Click the modify icon of a general POS terminal.
  9. Modify the settings, for example the POS terminal name, and click OK.
  10. Delete a General POS Terminal

  11. Select the general POS terminal you want to delete, click Delete. When you delete a POS terminal that is generated in bulk, all other POS terminals generated in the same bulk are also deleted.

Parameters

Item Description
POS Terminal ID Uniquely identifies a POS terminal.
POS Terminal Name Description for the POS terminal.
Connecting Interface The FCM interface that connects to the POS terminal, which can be a physical FCM interface or a FCM interface for signal transmission.
Transport Mode (App Name) Values can be Transparent and Non-Transparent. When the transport mode is transparent, the POS application name is also displayed. In transparent mode, the POS terminal directly forwards a received packet to the POS application without analyzing and determining the packet format.
POS Terminal Connection Connection state of the POS terminal.
Invalid: No interface or listening port is configured.
Down: The connection is terminated.
Up: The connection is established.


















Precautions

When you delete any of the POS terminals added in a batch, the other POS terminals added in the batch are also deleted.
