FCM Interface Management

A Fast Connect Modem (FCM) interface is a service interface on an FCM card. The FCM card is designed for POS dial-up connection. It can quickly establish a dial-up connection to the Modem.

On the FCM interface management page, you can view and configure the FCM interfaces of the device.

Operation Procedure

  1. Select the Resource tab.
  2. Click the target device from the device list.
  3. From the right navigation tree click Interfaces under POS Access.
  4. Select the FCM Interfaces tab.
  5. Click the modify icon of an FCM interface.
  6. Modify the settings such as the off-hook delay and silence time. Click OK.

Parameters

Item Description
Interface Description for the interface.
Off-Hook Delay Delay time in milliseconds when the interface receives the ring current.
Silence Time Time in milliseconds during which Modem negotiation does not start.
Scramble Binary Time Period of time in milliseconds negotiated for sending the scrambled binary code.
Unscramble Binary Time Period of time in milliseconds negotiated for sending the unscrambled binary code.
RLSD OFF Threshold The lower limit for detecting the received line signals, in -dBm.
RLSD ON Threshold The upper limit for detecting the received line signals, in -dBm.
Tx Power Level The power level to be sent, in -dBm.
Answer Tone Level The answering tone level sent from the Modem, in -dBm.
