GIS Locating
Use GIS locating to locate the position of an AP or client on a map.
AP Locating
- Use one of the following operations:
- Click the Service tab, and then select WLAN Manager > Resource Management > Fat APs from the navigation tree to open the fat AP list page.
- Click the Service tab, and then select WLAN Manager > Resource Management > Fit APs from the navigation tree
to open the fit AP list page.
- Click the Service tab, select WLAN Manager > View Management > Location Views from the navigation tree to open the level-1 location view management page, and then click a location name to display the Subview/Device List of the level-1 location view.
- Click the Operation icon
for the AP to be located and then select Locate to GIS Map.
Client Locating
- Click the Service tab.
- From the navigation tree, select WLAN Manager > Resource Management > Clients to open the Client List page.
- Click the Operation icon
for the client to be located and then select Locate to GIS Map.
Remarks
- To locate an AP in GIS view, associate it with an AP marker in GIS view, or add the AP to a location
view and associate the location view with a marker.
- To locate a client in GIS view, associate the AP to which the client is connected with a marker in GIS view, or add the AP to which the client is connected to a location
view and associate the location view with a marker.
- The basic WLAN Manager does not support this function.
- An AP marker takes precedence over a location view marker in GIS locating.
