Add/Modify WLAN
Perform this task to add or modify a WLAN on an AC.
Procedure
- Click the Service tab, and then select WLAN Manager > Resource Management > ACs from the navigation tree.
- Click the device label of an AC to open the Device Details page.
- Click WLAN Configuration in the Wireless Service area on the right.
- Click Add. Or click the Operation icon
for a WLAN, and then select Modify from the shortcut menu.
- Configure WLAN parameters.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Profile Name: Enter a name, which uniquely identifies a profile. This field cannot be empty. The value range of the string is 1 to 32 characters.
- SSID: Enter an SSID name, which uniquely identifies an SSID. The value range of the string is 1 to 32 characters.
- Admin status: Indicates the status of the WLAN. Options are Enable and Disable. A WLAN can provide wireless access services when its Admin Status is Enable.
- Broadcast SSID: Indicates whether a probe message sent by an AP carries the SSID of this WLAN. Options are Enable and Disable. The default value is Enable. If you select Disable, manually specify an SSID for the client.
- Encryption: Select an encryption method used by the WLAN. The encryption methods can be None, Static WEP, WPA+WPA2,802.1X, Static WEP+802.1X, and CKIP.
- WPA Policy: Select AES or TKPI.
- WPA2 Policy: Select AES or TKPI.
- Auth Key Mgmt: Select an authentication key management method. Options are 802.1X, CCKM, PSK, and 802.1X+CCKM.
- PSK Format: Select a type, ASCII or HEX. ASCII is a character string and HEX is hexadecimal notation.
- Key Size: Select a key size, 64 bits or 128 bits.
- Key Format: Select a key format, ASCII or HEX.
- Key Index: Index of the packet cipher key, in the range of 1 to 4. The default key index is 1.
- Encryption Key: Enter an encryption key. The size depends on the key size and key format.
- PSK: Enable or disable PSK authentication.
- MMH Mode: Enable or disable MMH mode.
- Key Permutation: Enable or disable key permutation.
Remarks
When you add a WLAN, make sure the SSID and profile name are unique.
