Add/Modify WLAN

Perform this task to add or modify a WLAN.

Procedure

1. Click the Service tab, and then select Resource Management > ACs from the navigation tree.
2. Click the device label for the target Aruba AC to view its details.
3. Click WLAN Configuration in the Wireless Service area to the right of the page.
4. Click Add to add a WLAN, or click the Modify icon for a WLAN to modify it.
5. Configure WLAN parameters as needed, and then click OK.

Parameters

• Profile Name: Enter a unique profile name that contains 1 to 32 characters.
• SSID: Enter a unique SSID that contains 1 to 32 characters.
• Admin Status: Specify the administration status for the WLAN. Options are Enable and Disable. Only WLANs in Enable state can be used by APs to provide wireless access services.
• Broadcast SSID: Select whether to carry on SSID in probe packets sent by APs. Options are Enable and Disable. By default, this parameter is set to Enable.
• Security Policies: Select a security policy for the WLAN. Options are None and Static WEP.
• Encryption Key: Enter the WEP encryption key. Configure this parameter when you select Static WEP as the security policy.
