AC Global Parameter Configuration
Use AC global parameter configuration to configure global parameters for an AC.
Procedure
- Click the Service tab.
- From the WLAN Manager navigation tree, select Resource Management > ACs to open the AC List page.
- Click an AC name to open the Device Details page.
- In the Wireless Service Information area, click the Modify icon
next to Basic Parameter Information.
- On the AC Global Parameter Configuration page, specify the parameter values, and then click OK.
Parameters
- Enable Traffic Load Balancing: Select whether to enable traffic-based load balancing. With this feature enabled, if the proportion of traffic on an AP to the total traffic reaches the traffic load balancing threshold, the AC redirects client access requests for this AP to the other APs to balance AP loads. You cannot enable this feature if client load balancing is enabled.
- Traffic Load Balancing Threshold (%): Specify the maximum traffic on an AP to the total AP traffic in percentage. You must specify this threshold if traffic load balancing is enabled.
- Enable Client Load Balancing: Select whether to enable session-based load balancing. With this feature enabled, if the number of clients associated with an AP reaches the client load balancing threshold, the AC redirects client access requests for this AP to the other APs to balance AP loads. You cannot enable this feature if traffic load balancing is enabled.
- Client Load Balancing Threshold: Specify the maximum number of clients for an AP. You must specify this threshold if client load balancing is enabled.
- AP Auto Functionality: Enable or disable AP auto registration. If you enable this function and configure an auto AP template for an AC, all fit APs with a model matching the template can automatically connect to the AC.
- Scan Mode: The mode that the AC uses for scanning. Options are Active and Passive.
- Scan Channel: The mode that the AC uses for scanning the scope of channels. Options are All and Auto. The All option indicates scanning all the channels. The Auto option indicates scanning the channels that are automatically selected by WIDS.
- Country/Region Code: Indicates a country or region code. You can select this code from a list.
- MKD-ID: MAC address with a default value of 00:0f:e2:00:00:01.
- Layer 2 Isolation: Indicates whether to control Layer 2 isolation. Network Layer 2 isolation is supported.
- Troubleshooting: Enable or disable the troubleshooting function of the AC.
Remarks
- You cannot modify an MKD-ID when a mesh profile is enabled.
- Only Comware-based wireless devices support this function.
