Add/Modify Policy
Perform this task to add a radio policy or to modify an existing radio policy for an AC.
Procedure
- Click the Service tab.
- From the WLAN Manager navigation tree, select Resource Management > ACs to open the AC List page.
- Click an AC name to open the Device Details page.
- Click Radio Policy Management to open the Radio Policy List
page.
- Click Add Policy to open the Add Radio Policy page, or click the Operation icon for the radio policy to be modified, and then select Modify from the shortcut menu to open the Modify Radio Policy page.
- Configure basic
information for the policy.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Policy Name: A policy
name is less than 15 characters, and contains letters, numbers, and underlines,
case insensitive. It must be unique and cannot be null.
- Beacon Interval (TU):
Interval for sending management frames. The value range is 32
to 8191. The default is 100.
- DTIM Intervals:
Delivery Traffic Indication Message (DTIM) period of message frames. The
value range is 1 to 31. The default is 1.
- RTS Threshold (bytes):
Threshold for sending requests. The value range is 0 to 2346. The
default is 2346.
- Fragment Threshold (bytes): Indicates the maximum length of a data
packet that is transmitted without being fragmented. It is an even number in
the range of 256 to 2346. The default is 2346.
- Short Frame Retransmission Threshold: Maximum retransmission times for frames that are not greater than the RTS Threshold. The value range
is 1 to 15. The default is 7.
- Long Frame Retransmission Threshold: Maximum retransmission times for frames that are greater than the RTS Threshold. The value range is 1 to
15. The default is 4.
- Rx Lifecycle (ms): Interval at which the fit AP stores received data packets. The value range is
500 to 250000. The default is 2000.
- Max Clients: Maximum number of clients allowed in the radio policy.
