IPM Server Parameter Configuration

Perform this task to configure IPM server parameters. WSM uses IPM server parameters to log in to the IPM server through REST API. After logging in to the IPM server, WSM can get the username, vendor, and operating system information about the clients and synchronize client information.

Procedure

1. Click the Service tab, and then select Configuration Management from the WLAN Manager navigation tree to open the configuration management page.
2. Click Service Parameter Configuration, and then click the IPM Parameter Configuration tab.
3. Set related parameters, and then click OK.

Parameters

• IPM Master Server IP Address: Enter the IP address of the primary INC server where IPM is deployed. If IPM and WSM are deployed on the same server, enter 127.0.0.1.
• Login Port: Enter the port number of the primary INC server where IPM is deployed.
• Login Type: Select the protocol type used to log in to the primary INC server where IPM is deployed.
• Login Name: Enter the login name used to log in to the primary INC server where IPM is deployed.
• Password: Enter the password used to log in to the primary INC server where IPM is deployed.
• Obtain Client Info from IPM Automatically: Select whether to enable the system to obtain client information every ten minutes from the INC primary server on which IPM is installed.
