Set Thresholds
Perform this task to set performance index thresholds. WSM generates alarms when the collected data exceeds the thresholds for the selected indexes.
Procedure
- Click the Service tab, and then select Configuration Management from the WLAN Manager navigation tree to open the configuration management page.
- Click the Threshold Configuration link in the Network Management area to open the page for setting thresholds.
- Select the boxes for the target parameters and then enter the thresholds, or clear the configured parameters.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Client Count: Specifies the number of clients associated with the AP, in the range of 0 to 200. When the number of clients associated with the AP exceeds this value, alarms are generated.
- Radio Rate (%): Specifies the percentage of the rate of a radio to the supported maximum rate, in the range of 0 to 100. Alarms are generated if the collected percentage exceeds this value.
- Radio Channel Utilization (%): Specifies the channel usage threshold of a radio, in the range of 20 to 100. When the radio usage exceeds the threshold, minor alarms are generated.
- Clients Associated with AC (Minor): Specifies the number of clients associated with the AC, in the range of 1 to 49999. When the number of clients associated with the AC exceeds this value, minor alarms are generated.
- Clients Associated with AC (Major): Specifies the number of clients associated with the AC, in the range of 2 to 50000. When the number of clients associated with the AC exceeds this value, major alarms are generated.
