Add Energy Policy
Perform this task to add an energy policy.
Procedure
- Click the Service tab, and then select Energy Policy Management from the
WLAN Manager navigation tree to open the energy policy management page.
- In the Energy Policy List area, click Add.
- Configure parameters for the policy.
- In the Fit AP Radio List or Fat AP Radio List area, click Add.
- In the window that appears, select the devices you
want to add to the energy policy.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Policy Type: Select a policy type from the list: Start/Stop AP, Start/Stop Radio, Modify Radio Power, Start/Stop SSID (Comware-based). The default setting is Start/Stop AP. Use the Start/Stop AP option to schedule the start and stop time for APs by enabling or disabling PoE. This option applies to only PoE-capable APs. Stopped APs can no longer provide wireless access for clients. Use the Start/Stop Radio option to schedule the start and stop time for radios. Stopped radios can no longer provide wireless access for clients. Use the Modify Radio Power option to adjust or restore the transmitting power of selected radios. Use the Start/Stop SSID (Comware-based) option to enable or disable the broadcast of SSID of the selected radios.
- Execution Mode: Select an execution mode of the policy: One-off or Periodical.
- Started at/Modified at: If the execution mode is One-off, the time format is YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss. If the execution mode is Periodical, the time format is hh:mm:ss.
- Stopped at/Recovered at: If the execution mode is One-off, the time format is YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss. If the execution mode is Periodical, the time format is hh:mm:ss.
- Changed Power/Restored Power: Enter
an integer in the range of 1 to 27. For more information about the range of
radio power, see the documents shipped with the devices.
- Validated at/Expired at: Enter the time in the format of YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss.
Remarks
- To enable an SSID, make sure the SSID has been disabled and bound to a radio, service policy, and wireless logical interface.
