Add/Modify Policy Template
Perform this task to add or modify a radio policy template.
Procedure
- Click the Service tab.
- From the WLAN Manager navigation tree, select Configuration Management to open the Configuration Management page.
- Click Template Management in the Network Configuration area to open the Template Management page.
- Click Radio Policy Template to open the Radio Policy Template List page.
- Click Add to open the Add Radio Policy Template page. Or click the Modify icon
for a radio policy template to open the Modify Radio Policy Template page.
- Edit the basic information of the radio policy template.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Policy Name: Enter a case-insensitive string of 1 to 15 characters to uniquely identify the radio policy. The string can contain letters, digits, and underlines (_).
- Beacon Interval (TU): Enter an interval for sending management frames, in the range of 32 to 8191. The default value is 100.
- DTIM Interval (s): Enter a Delivery Traffic Indication Message period of message frames, in the range of 1 to 31. The default value is 1.
- RTS Threshold (bytes): Enter a threshold for sending requests in bytes, in the range of 0 to 2346. The default value is 2346.
- Fragment Threshold (bytes): Enter the maximum length of a data packet that is transmitted without being fragmented. It must be an even integer in the range of 256 to 2346. The default value is 2346.
- Short Frame Retransmission Threshold: Enter the maximum retransmission time for frames that are not longer than RTS Threshold. The value range is from 1 to 15 and the default value is 7.
- Long Frame Retransmission Threshold: Enter the maximum retransmission time for frames that are longer than RTS Threshold. The value range is from 1 to 15 and the default value is 4.
- Rx Lifecycle (ms): Enter an interval at which the fit AP stores received data packets. The value range is from 500 to 250000 and the default value is 2000.
- Max Clients: Enter the maximum number of clients allowed in the radio policy.
