Parameters
WLAN parameters for Comware-based V5 devices
- State: Select the state of the service policy: Enable or Disable.
- SSID: Enter the name of the service set identifier, a string of 1 to 32 characters. It cannot be null and cannot be the same as any existing SSID.
- Encryption: Select the encryption mode: Clear or Crypto.
- Hide SSID: Specify whether to hide SSIDs in beacon frames.
- Authentication Mode: Select the authentication mode for 802.11 and 802.11i. If the encryption mode is Clear, this field can only be Open System. If the encryption mode is Crypto, this field can be Open System, Shared Key, All, or None. The default is Open System.
- Interface Type: Select the type of the interface to be bound with the service policy. The default is WLAN-ESS. This option is available only in AC configuration.
- Max Clients: Enter the maximum number of clients that are allowed to connect to the service policy.
- Layer 2 Isolation: Select whether to enable Layer 2 isolation. This feature isolates clients accessing the same SSID.
- VLAN: ID of the VLAN that clients will join after coming online through the service policy template, in the range of 1 to 4094.
- Security IE: Select the security IE used in the beacon and probe frames sent by an AP. The values are None, RSN, WPA, and All. The default is None. This option is available only when the encryption mode is Crypto.
- Cipher Suite: Select the cipher suite in data frame encryption. The values are WEP40, WEP104, WEP128, TKIP, CCMP, where WEP40 and WEP104 and WEP128should not be selected at the same time. You can set a key index or key only when you select WEP40 or WEP104 or WEP128.
- Key: When the cipher suite is WEP40, the key length is 5 alphanumeric characters. When the cipher suite is WEP104, the key length is 13 alphanumeric characters. When the cipher suite is WEP128, the key length is 16 alphanumeric characters.
- Key Index: Index of the packet cipher key, in the range of 1 to 4. The default key index is 1.
WLAN parameters for Comware-based V7 devices
- SSID: String of 1 to 32 characters. It must be unique on the same AC.
- Enable: Enable the WLAN. If you select this option, the WLAN is available immediately after it is deployed.
- Client Uplink/Down Link Rate Limit Mode: Specifies the client uplink/downlink rate limit mode. Options are Static and Dynamic.
- Client Uplink/Downlink Bandwidth Limit: In dynamic mode, it specifies the bandwidth limit for all clients. The bandwidth limit for each client is the total bandwidth limit divided by the number of clients. In static mode, it specifies the bandwidth limit for a single client, and takes effect on all clients. The value range is 16 to 1700000. 0 means the bandwidth is not limited.
- Max Clients: Maximum number of clients allowed by the WLAN.
- Hide SSID: Specifies whether to hide SSIDs in beacon frames.
- VLAN: ID of the VLAN that clients will join after coming online through the service policy template, in the range of 1 to 4094.
- Enable URL Redirect: Select whether to enable URL redirect for MAC authentication clients. If this feature is enabled, MAC authentication clients will be redirected to the URL provided by the RADIUS server for authentication.
- Security IE: Specifies the security information element to be used in Beacon and Probe response frames. Options are None (default), RSN, WPA, and All.
- Cipher Suite: Specifies the cipher suite to be used for data frame encryption. Options are WEP40,WEP104,WEP128, TKIP, CCMP, where WEP40 and WEP104 and WEP128should not be selected at the same time. Key Index and Key are available only when Cipher Suite is set to WEP40 or WEP104 or WEP128.
- Key: A key string can only contain numbers and letters. The key length depends on the cipher suite. For a WEP40 key, the key length is 5 alphanumeric characters. For a WEP104 key, the key length is 13 alphanumeric characters. For a WEP128 key, the key length is 16 alphanumeric characters.
- AKM Mode: Authentication and key management mode. Options are dot1x and psk.
- PSK: Pre-shared key. This field appears only when AKM Mode is set to psk.
- Auth mode: Authentication mode. Options are None and MAC.
WLAN parameters for MSM devices
- State: Select the WLAN state: Enabled or Disabled.
- SSID: Enter the
name of the service set identifier, a string of 1 to 32 characters. The string
