Add User-Defined Rule

Operation Procedure

  1. When adding a user-defined ACL resource or configuring a user-defined ACL template, click Add or Add Rule to configure a user-defined rule.
  2. In the Basic Info area, perform the following configurations:
  3. Select the action you want to take for matching packets, permit or deny.
  4. Set the time range you want to apply to this rule.
  5. Click OK.

Parameters

Rule String: Rule string is used to match packets. You can set up to eight rules. The rule string and the mask are hexadecimal numbers of the same length that is a multiple of 2 and in the range of 2 to 160. Offset indicates the start position in a packet, which measured by the distance to the packet header. The offset is a decimal integer, whose range varies by the mask length. The maximum range of the offset is 0 to 79. The offset must increase progressively, that is, the offset value of the latter rule string-mask pair must be larger than that of the former.
