An ACL rule is a subitem of an ACL definition. An ACL definition can contains multiple rules. Depending on the ACL definition that the rules belong to, ACL Management supports the following four types of rules:
The rule parameters are device specific. When you deploy a rule to a device, ACL Management checks whether the parameters of the rule are supported by the device. If no, ACL Management decides whether to deploy the ACL resource that includes the unsupported rule depending on the impacts of the parameters. If the ACL resources are not deployed for not being supported, the reason wll be displayed in the deployment summary.
You can manage ACL rules in the Add Rule Set, Copy Rule Set, or Modify Rule Set pages.
