Portal Device

A Portal device is an access device interacting with the Portal Server. The Portal Server communicates with the access devices based on the device configuration information maintained on it. Therefore, this information must be consistent with that on the devices; or the Portal Server may fail to exchange packets with INC, causing users access failure.

Functions

• Add/Modify Portal Device
• Delete Portal Device
• Query Portal Device
• Configure Port Group

Precautions

• After configuring a port group, you need to click User Access Policy > Service Parameters > Validate in the navigation tree to validate your configuration.
• The DHCP Request Retransmit Delay and the DHCP Request Retransmit Times fields appear only when Reallocate IP is selected in the Access Method field.
