Clear Online Information
The following situations cause the symptom that the client is disconnected, but is in the hung state in the system. 1. The access device is powered off and restarts. In this case, its terminals are all disconnected, however, the RADIUS server does not receive any logoff request and regards the users are still online. 2. The client sends a logoff request and logs off. But the request is missing on the way to the server.
If the hung state goes for a period longer than the aging time of the system parameters, the system clears the online records automatically.
Operation Procedure
- Select the User tab, and click Access User > Online Users from the navigation tree to enter the local online users page.
- There are two ways to clear the online information.
Approach 1: Select a target online user, and then click Clear Online Information.
Approach 2: Click
and select the
to enter the detail infomation page of the online user. Then click Clear Online Information in the Access Service Action menu.
- Click OK.
Precautions
- Note that clearing online information and kicking out users are two different functions:
- 1. Kick out users: The operator clicks the button to kick out a user. The configuration console sends the packet to the access device or the iNode client, which initiates a logoff request to the RADIUS server. The server then logs off the user.
- 2. Clear online information: A terminal user initiates a logoff request, and logs off after the request arrives at the access device. In the transmission from the device to the RADIUS server, the packet is missing or the device is powered off and restarts, which makes the request fail to reach the RADIUS server. In this case, the user appears online in the system. To delete the online information and records the access details, operators need to perform the clearing operation.
