Send Password SMS Message Notifications

Perform this task to send SMS messages to one or more access users.

To use this function, you must configure the way in which UAM obtains the phone number of the SMS recipient and customize the message content (see SMS Configuration and SMS Content Configuration). If UAM cannot obtain the phone number of an access user, it does not send any SMS messages to the user. UAM does not send SMS messages to LDAP users if it cannot obtain the users' passwords from the LDAP server.

SMS Modem limits the message length to be up to 70 characters. If the message exceeds its maximum length, the system will divide it into multiple messages to send.

Operation Procedure

1. Click the User tab.
2. From the navigation tree, select User Access Manager > Access User.
3. Select one or more access users as the SMS message recipients.
4. Click More, and then select Send Password SMS Message Notifications from the shortcut menu.
