If you select Disable, preregistered guest accounts must be registered by a guest manager to become normal guest accounts. This parameter takes effect only when guest preregistration is enabled on the Guest > Guest Parameters page is set to Enable. Make sure you also configure a guest manager and a service for guest auto-registration.
- Send Guest Password by: Select a method to send passwords to guests. You can select SMS Message, Email, or both. To send guest passwords by SMS message, first enable the SMS function (see SMS Settings) and configure the SMS message content (see Deliver Message. To send guest passwords by email, make sure the correct mail server settings are configured in the INC platform. The mail content is predefined in UAM and cannot be modified. If neither option is selected, UAM does not send passwords to guests.
- Display QR code after guest preregistration: Select whether to display a QR code after guest preregistration success page and the guest auto registration(excluding BYOD) success page . The guest manager can approve preregistered guests by scanning the generated QR code.
- Scan QR Code for Guest Auto-Registration: With this feature enabled, preregistered guests and guests preregistered through QR code registration and authentication (BYOD users excluded) will be registered directly after the guest manager scans the QR code for guest registration.
- Validate Guest at: If you select Specified Time, the guest manager can manually specify the validity time and end time for managed guests. If you select First Online, UAM updates the validity time and end time when a guest first comes online. This parameter applies to all preregistered guests except the touch version of the user self-service center.
- Max. Transparent Portal Bindings: Specify the maximum number of endpoints that can be bound to a guest account for transparent portal authentication. The value is in the range of 0 to 255. A value of 0 indicates the system does not record transparent portal bindings for guests. This parameter takes effect only when guest preregistration is enabled in the guest parameter settings.
- Default validity period of guests: Enter the default validity time of guest accounts when their end time is not configured or cannot be configured. The validity time of these guest accounts is the smaller of this parameter and Maximum Validity Time of Managed Guests parameter. For more information about configuring the Max. Validity Time of Managed Guest parameter, see Add Guest Manager.
- Guest Password Lifetime: Enter the valid time period of the guest password after a guest is validated. The guest can access the network before the password is expired. If you do not configure this parameter, the guest password never expires.

- Default Online Guests: Enter the default number of the Online Guests Limit field to display on the Guest Registration page.
- Max. Online Guests: Enter the maximum number supported by the Online Guests Limit field on the Guest Registration page.
Quick Account Creation
- Guest Lite Registration Verification: If you select Verification Code, the SMS registration and authentication page displays a verification code for registration. If you select License Code and set a license code, the endpoint user must enter the correct license code on the SMS registration and authentication page. If you select No Verification, the endpoint user can be directly registered as a guest without entering any code for verification. Use Verification Code or License Code to prevent malicious registration.
- Name Generation Rule: Select a rule for UAM to generate guest account names. Options are Millisecond value for system time, Prefix + millisecond value, and YYMMDDhhmmss + 4-digit random number. For example, when a guest account is created on 2014-1-1 8:8:8:123, the millisecond value is 1388534888123 since 1970-1-1 00:00. If you select Millisecond value for system time, the account name is 1388534888123. If you select Prefix + millisecond value and set the prefix to auto, the account name is auto1388534888123.
