Perform this task to view the MAC address of the endpoint for an access user. To use transparent authentication, enable it both globally and in the access service assigned to the endpoint user. In MAC authentication mode, if the MAC address is bound to the access user, the system automatically matches the account name based on the MAC address for authentication. If the MAC address is not bound to the access user, the system automatically binds the MAC address to the default BYOD user for login. In portal authentication mode, when an endpoint triggers portal authentication through a Web page for the first time, the authentication page is forcibly pushed. The endpoint user must enter the account name and password for portal Web authentication. Then, the portal server automatically binds the endpoint MAC address, the account name, and the access service used.
