Add/Modify Software Server Configuration

This function helps you add or modify software server configuration.

Operation Procedure

1. Select the User tab, and in the navigation tree of Desktop Asset Manager,click SW Server Settings.
2. On the new page, click Add to configure a new software server or click the corresponding to the software server that you want to modify its configuration.
3. Specify the configuration of the software server.
4. Click OK.

Precautions

• The server name must not be null, and it must be unique.
• The IP address must not be null.
• The default port number for HTTP is 80; the default port number for FTP is 21.
• If you set Anonymous User to No, you cannot leave User Name and Password null.When the deployment method is set to Share File, the User Name must take the format of prefix\user ID. If the software server has been assigned to a domain, use the domain name as the prefix. If not, use the computer name as the prefix. When the deployment method is FTP, type only the user ID.

Parameters

• Transmission Mode: Specifies the FTP transfer mode when a firewall or NAT device exists between the FTP server and the iNode client. The options include PORT and PASV. Select the PORT option if the FTP server is protected by the firewall or on the private network. Select the PASV option if the iNode client is protected by the firewall or on the private network.
