After you modify the service parameters, the configuration console will notify the background processes of the modifications and ask them to put the modifications into effect immediately. If the notification fails, you will need to select Validate from the navigation tree to make those modifications take effect immediately. To manually apply the configuration, select User Security Policy > Service Parameters > Validate in the navigation tree. The system displays the failure cause if you fail to apply the configuration manually.
