Select Devices and Software
This step is the first step of deploying device software. At this
step, you can select devices, software, and deploy strategies.
Operation Procedure
- Enter the Deploy Device Software page with any of the
following approaches:
- Approach 1: Select the Service tab, click Deploy
Guide, and then click Deploy Device Software.
- Approach 2: On the Configuration Management
page, select the Software Deployment History tab and click Restore.
- Approach 3: On the Software Library page,
click Deploy Device, and then select Deploy Device Software.
- Approach 4: On the Configuration Management page,
select the Configuration Backup History tab or the Software
Deployment History tab, and then click Deploy Device Software.
- Click Select Devices. On the pop-up device list, select
one or multiple devices.
- Select the software version and Boot ROM to be deployed to the device. Software version to be deployed must be set.
- Select a path on the device to save the version.
- Select a deploy strategy.
- Click Next.
Precautions
- If you select Delete Current Running Software of
Deploy Strategy, the software of device will be lost after deploying
task failed, and device cannot be restarted.
- When a large number of devices are selected for deployment, you might need to wait some time for the browser to load the list of devices.
Parameters
- If it is a restoring task, the selection of software version is
for the device, and the Boot ROM cannot be restored.
After a device is selected, the Update Version column of the
current line shows the names of the software versions that are higher
than the current running version on the device.
- If you select Select update version... for the Update
Version column of the current line, all software versions in the
Software Library will be listed on the pop-up page. You can select one
item to deploy.
- If it is a deployment task, the software and Boot ROM can be
deployed in batches on the devices.
- For the Save to Device column of the current line,
select the path of the current device. Also, you can click Modify
and type a different path in the pop-up window. The path should be
within 32 characters.
- If you are restoring software, the previous version is
displayed but the Delete Current Backup Startup Software option
is unavailable. You can restore software from the system or from devices as
required. If you select Restore from Devices, the Save to
Device column is unavailable in the device list.
