File Transfer Modes

  • This function enables you to set the file transfer protocol, FTP, TFTP, SFTP, SCP, or SFTP Server. You can also select the default transfer mode and the single device transfer mode as needed.
    Default transfer mode: Allows you to set the default file transfer protocol of devices.
    Single device transfer mode: Allows you to set the file transfer protocol of a single device.
    A device uses TFTP to transfer files by default. You can configure the single device transfer mode for a specific device requiring special settings.

    Operation Procedures

    To set the default transfer mode:

    1. Select the default file transfer mode, FTP, TFTP, SFTP, SCP, or SFTP Server.
    2. If you select FTP, enable FTP service and configure the username and password for logging in to the FTP server.
    3. If you select SFTP Server, enable SFTP Server Transfer Mode and configure the username and password for logging in to the SFTP server.
    4. Click OK.

    To set the single device transfer mode:

    1. Click Select Device and add devices requiring the single device transfer mode.
    2. Select the added devices, click Set Mode, and then select the transfer protocol and enter the server IP address on the dialog box that appears.
    3. If you select FTP, enable FTP service and configure the username and password for logging in to the FTP server.
    4. If you select SFTP Server, enable SFTP Server Transfer Mode and configure the username and password for logging in to the SFTP server.As a best practice, use the mini-sftp-server tool in a Windows environment. To download the tool, access www.coreftp.com/server/.
    5. Click OK.
