Modify Property of Assets
Operation Procedure
- Click the Resource tab, and in the navigation tree of Network Assets, select Network Assets.
The asset list appears.
- Select one or more network asset entities you want to modify and click Modify Property.
The page for modifying property of the assets appears.
- Modify the property of the assets, and then click OK.
Parameters
- Physical Asset: Set the physical property of the asset.
The following options are available:
- Computed by system: Enable the Network Asset Manager to compute the physical property of the assets. To identify an asset:
- If an asset is not pluggable, it is identified as a non physical asset.
- If an asset is pluggable but is an IRF member device, it is identified as a non physical asset.
- If the OID of an asset is suffixed with .0 and the name contain the term "virtual" (case-insensitive), the asset is identified as a non physical asset.
- Identify the asset by the physical property specified in the Asset OID entry.
- If none of the above conditions is not met, the asset is identified as a non physical asset.
- Yes: Set the physical property of the asset entity to physical asset. If the physical property of the asset OID entry is changed, the physical property of the asset entity does not change during device synchronization.
- No: Set the physical property of the asset entity to non physical asset. If the physical property of the asset OID entry is changed, the physical property of the asset entity does not change during device synchronization.
Precautions
- If you set the physical property to Computed by system, the physical property of the asset entity is updated immediately. In this case, if the physical property of the Asset OID entry is changed, the physical property of the asset entity is updated during device synchronization.
- If the asset type of an asset entity is Device, its physical property is physical asset and cannot be changed.
