Add/Modify Automatic Distribution Rule
This function enables you to add or modify a rule for distributing alarms to ITSM.
Operation Procedure
- Click the Alarm tab, and then select Automatic Distribution in the navigation tree.
- Click Add or the Modify icon of the target rule to enter the page for adding or editing the rule.
- On the page that appears, you can:
- Type the rule name (available only when you add a rule).
- Select a processor.
- Type the suggestion.
- Select your concerned alarm levels.
- Select your concerned resources.
- Select your concerned alarms.
- In Time Ranges, set the start and end time of each day in the format HH:MM. For example, 12:23-23:23.
- Click OK.
Parameters
- Processor: Specifies an ITSM account to process the distributed alarms.
- Concerned Resources: Select All Resources to distribute alarms of all the resources.If you select Selected Devices, only alarms of the selected devices are distributed.If you select Application Group, only the alarms of the selected application groups are distributed. You can select devices in the following three ways:
- By device: Select one or more devices under The System management.
- By view: Select a user-defined view, and then all devices in this view are selected.
- By network segment: Type the start IP address and end IP address. Devices in this IP address range are selected.
- Concerned alarms: Select All Alarms to distribute all types of alarms, or select a specific alarm type to distribute alarms of this type only.
- Time ranges: Configure the time ranges to distribute the alarm raised during the configured time ranges. For example, if you set 00:00–24:00 for a certain day, all alarms raised on that day are distributed.
Precautions
- The relationship among all criteria in an automatic distribution is AND. That is, an alarm is automatically distributed only when it matches all criteria of the rule.
- Application groups are supported only if the APM component is installed.
